Processing International Addresses
Our address verification system primarily uses the Street Address and Zip/Postal Code to verify a credit card against the cardholder's records. However, some system forms may still require a City and/or State to process a payment.
Handling International Clients
If your client is located outside of the United States and the form requires a state selection:
Advise the client to select any state from the dropdown menu.
This will allow the form to validate so they can complete the transaction.
Customizing Your Payment Pages
While you cannot completely remove the City and State fields from your Payment Pages, you can mark them as Optional. This prevents international users from being blocked if they leave those fields blank.
How to make fields optional:
Navigate to Payment Pages in the left navigation bar.
Click Edit next to the specific page you wish to modify.
Select Default Fields in the upper right corner.
Change City to Optional.
Change State to Optional.
Click Save at the bottom of the page.
