Overview

The CP button—available for ProLaw versions 2014 and later—enables you to process transactions through ClientPay without ever leaving your ProLaw environment.

How the Process Works

Using the integration is a straightforward six-step flow:

  1. Selection: Choose a client, matter, or open invoice within ProLaw.

  2. Launch: Click the CP button.

  3. Connection: ProLaw initiates a service call and opens a new browser window to a secure ClientPay URL.

  4. Payment: Select the specific invoice you wish to pay, enter the payment details, and process the transaction.

  5. Capture: ClientPay processes and captures the payment.

  6. Posting: Depending on your firm's settings, journals are either posted automatically at the time of payment or manually once funds are received.

Implementation & Setup

To enable this feature, you must first obtain specific credentials from our team.

IMPORTANT: Please email [email protected] to request your CP button credentials. This process typically takes 24-48 hours. Once you receive your token, follow the version-specific instructions below.
